Sky Flower Zen meets every Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
Meetings begin with a short sutra service—readings from the Boundless Way Zen sutra (liturgy) book. You can find a copy of the Liturgy here.
The short service leads directly into a period of sitting meditation (zazen), followed by five minutes of walking meditation.
On the first and third Saturdays of the month, the second sitting period (9:30-9:55) will feature a dharma talk (an informal talk on Zen teaching and practice including a period of dharma dialogue open to all). On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, both sitting periods will feature opportunities for brief one-on-one interviews (dokusan) with a Boundless Way Zen teacher, using a Zoom breakout room.
On occasion, a second hour (from 10 to 11 a.m. on the same Zoom link) will feature what we call “Sky Flower Zen Academy,” an opportunity for discussions and workshops on Poetry and Zen and other topics. If you would like to be informed about these opportunities in advance, please sign up for our email list by sending a message including the header or message term “subscribe” to: firstname.lastname@example.org
